Supervisor: River Crossing Nursing Coordinator
Job Description: The Cook at River Crossing is responsible for preparing and cooking meals for clients while adhering to dietary restrictions and nutritional needs, ensuring that food safety standards are met, and collaborating with the Nursing Director to plan daily/weekly menus.

Job Description: The Cook at River Crossing is responsible for preparing and cooking meals for clients while adhering to dietary restrictions and nutritional needs, ensuring that food safety standards are met, and collaborating with the Nursing Director to plan daily/weekly menus.
What We’re Looking For
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Good organizational and documentation skills
- Ability to read, follow recipes, and measure
- Ability to stoop, kneel, bend, push, pull, and stand for long periods of time
- Customer Service experience
- Ability to work Holidays
- Review menus prior to preparation of food.
- Measure ingredients required for specific food items being prepared according to the menu.
- Wash, cut and prepare foods designated for cooking.
- Verify prepared food meets requirements for quality and quantity.
- Serve clients meals during scheduled times.
- Clean kitchen area, utensils, food preparation areas and surfaces.
- Maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas.
- Operate kitchen machinery such as oven, blender, mixer, microwave, dishwasher, etc.
- Clean, stock, and restock workstations and pantry.
- Seal, protect, and store leftover food items in appropriate places.
- Properly dispose of food and waste in accordance with established policies. Maintain the care and use of supplies, equipment, and work areas including but not limited to regular inspection of food service areas for sanitation, order, safety, and performance
- Prepare and submit restock order of food and supplies in a timely manner.
- Assist in inventorying and storing incoming food, supplies, etc. as necessary.
- Promote a positive work environment, including positive relationships with clients and their families, supervisors, and co-workers.
- Report any client or staff incidents or injuries to the appropriate supervisor in a timely manner.
- Attend staff meetings, in-service meetings, and trainings as required, keeping current on all trainings/certifications
- Report to work on time as scheduled; correctly complete and submit timesheets and leave requests in a timely manner.
- Report any facility or maintenance issues in a timely fashion and assist in the maintenance/housekeeping of the facility and equipment.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
