What are the responsibilities and job description for the HR Generalist position at Wellstone?
This HR Generalist is a full-time FLSA exempt position performing a full range of services, which may include but is not limited to recruitment, onboarding, new hire orientation, job fairs, marketing, processing personnel actions and documents, entering information into HRIS, and responding to employment verification requests.
What you'll be doing:
- Recruitment and marketing for job requisitions, including attending recruiting events as needed.
- Launch onboarding and host new hire orientation, ensuring all paperwork is completed and accurate information is entered into Paycom.
- Perform employment verifications as contacted, documenting on the employee's profile in Paycom.
- Process part-time to full-time employees or other changes in employee status.
- Assist Benefits Administrator with new hire paperwork, following federal guidelines and WellStone policies.
- Answer manager and employee questions in regard to policies, procedures, change of addresses, change of beneficiaries, benefits, other protocols, etc.
- Provide documents per the requests of staff (i.e. direct deposit forms, change of address forms, name change forms, etc.)
- Copy, file, scan and fax paperwork as required/needed.
- Perform primary source verification for licenses and transcripts.
- Route copies of credentials, degree, resume and transcripts to HR Credentialing & Training Specialist for credentialing through third party insurance panels for licensed staff.
- Other administrative and HR duties as requested or assigned by the HR Manager.
What we're looking for:
- Bachelors degree in HR or in a business-related field
- A minimum of 2 years' HR experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office to include Excel/Word
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills
- Paycom experience is a plus
- Experience in a behavioral healthcare and/or nonprofit setting working with credentialed professionals is a plus
- SHRM or HRCI certification is a plus
