Job Overview:
Our client is seeking a dedicated Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) to join their MedSurg Tele Neuro unit. The ANM plays a crucial role in managing and coordinating the unit, supervising staff, and ensuring adherence to policies, procedures, and standards. This position involves 24/7 responsibility for the management and staffing of the unit. The ideal candidate will maintain clinical competence and certifications to support the unit as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Nurse Manager in leading the MedSurg Tele Neuro unit, with 24/7 responsibility for management and staffing.
- Manage and coordinate the unit's operations, ensuring that all functions and activities align with organizational policies, procedures, protocols, and standards.
- Supervise nursing staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Maintain clinical competence to step in and assist the unit when necessary.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to deliver patient-focused, whole-person care.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or higher
- California Registered Nurse License upon hire.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association upon hire.
- At least 5 years of acute care hospital experience in Telemetry or Stroke unit
- Current inpatient leadership experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Specialty certification (e.g., SCRN) upon hire.
- Experience as a Charge Nurse or Relief Charge Nurse.
