Job Description:
Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Nursing to join our team and oversee our nursing department in our specialized surgery. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing administration and leadership within a nursing home or assisted living setting.
Duties:
- Manage and lead the nursing staff to ensure high-quality patient care
- Oversee nursing operations, including staffing, training, and scheduling
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain accurate medical records
- Conduct documentation reviews to guarantee proper record-keeping practices
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care
- Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures to enhance patient outcomes
The successful candidate should possess the following skills and qualifications:
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Current State of California Registered Nurse Licensure.
- 4 to 10 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Current BLS, PALS and ACLS certification
- Proven experience in nursing management and leadership roles
- Strong knowledge of nursing administration practices
- Familiarity with assisted living and nursing home environments
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to review and analyze medical documentation effectively
