Job Overview:
The Director of People Services will oversee and guide all co-worker relations functions, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and values. This role includes personnel administration, policy development, wage structure oversight, and compliance with human resource regulations. The ideal candidate will promote a family-friendly work culture and focus on staffing, recruiting, and retention strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and drive co-worker relations strategies to foster a positive work environment.
- Collaborate with senior leadership on staffing, recruitment, and retention goals.
- Lead policy and procedure development to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Supervise recruitment efforts, including advertising and outreach in coordination with department leaders.
- Investigate workplace issues and recommend resolutions.
- Manage the Human Resources department budget and monitor expenses.
- Oversee employee onboarding, training, and professional development programs.
- Provide guidance to managers on HR policies, procedures, and practices.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Public Relations, or Human Resources from an accredited institution.
- Healthcare experience required.
- Experience working with unions is essential.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in a related field.
- SPHR or SHRM-SCP certification.
