Duties:
- Assist the physical therapist in providing patient care and treatment
- Perform therapeutic exercises and activities under the direction of the physical therapist
- Administer modalities such as heat, cold, ultrasound, and electrical stimulation
- Educate patients on proper techniques for exercises and activities
- Monitor and document patient progress and response to treatment
- Assist with patient transfers and mobility
Qualifications:
- Valid PTA license in California
- BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred
- Proficient in providing patient care and implementing treatment plans
- Knowledge of trigger point therapy techniques
- Familiarity with medical terminology and documentation
