At Welser Profile, we are seeking a highly skilled EHS Sustainability Manager to lead our environmental, health and safety functions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in safety engineering, environmental engineering, industrial hygiene or human resources, with 5 years of experience in manufacturing environments.
About the Role
- This role is responsible for providing continual improvement of safety, health and environmental processes to drive attainment of goals related to risk reduction, injury prevention, sustainability and compliance with regulations and standards.
- The EHS Sustainability Manager will serve as the subject matter expert in the areas of safety, health, sustainability, and the environment, and will be responsible for interpreting and communicating environmental, health & safety standards impacting the company and satellite operations.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally at multiple levels. They will also have experience with conducting root cause analysis and driving corrective action, and will be proficient with OSHA, NFPA, DOT and applicable ANSI standards as related to manufacturing equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the entire environmental, health and safety function, including incident investigation, conducting root cause analysis, reporting, and follow-up with involved departments and Human Resources.
- Develop, coordinate implementation, and maintain programs designed to minimize EHS risks, including education, training, and resource allocation.
- Evaluate the performance of the team, provide leadership and guidance, and advise on minimizing and eliminating workplace risks.
- Ensure policies and procedures are established, prepared, implemented, revised, and maintained to meet current and known future safety and health requirements.
In addition to these responsibilities, the EHS Sustainability Manager will also facilitate and direct the Safety Committee, First Responders, and related meetings, and will lead the creation, implementation, and continual update of safety training.
