JOB DESCRIPTION - PROJECT MANAGER
Weltmann Lighting is a commercial lighting distributor with offices in Hicksville, NY. Weltmann Lighting meets the lighting needs of a broad client base. Our mission is to assist clients in successfully solving the most challenging construction projects and exceed expectations for quality and on-time delivery.
We are seeking an individual who is smart, ambitious, organized and is very knowledgeable with computers to perform the required tasks of a Project Manager .
Summary Objective
The Project Manager is responsible for conceptual development of the lighting component for a construction project and oversee its organization, scheduling and implementation. The PM plans, directs, coordinates or budgets, usually through estimator and foremen.
Qualifications
- Experience required - minimum of 2-3 yrs. experience as a Project Manager
- Must have the ability to conceptually budget, meet deadlines, handle various projects simultaneously and work effectively in a busy, team oriented environment
- Experience with construction drawings, specifications, architectural sketches and other related construction documents is preferred
- Good client management and strong relationship building skills
- Strong time management and logical decision-making ability
- Excellent computer skills (MS Office / Excel / Outlook / Adobe Acrobat Pro) and math skills
- Well-developed time scheduling and organizational skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Previous experience in a construction related company is required
- Previous experience with construction estimating take-off software is preferred
- Bachelor's degree in a related field required
