Role and Responsibilities :
o As a Transmission Line Engineer, design high voltage transmission lines (34kV - 500kV).
o As a Transmission Line Engineer, prepare construction plan documents as required per project.
o As a Transmission Line Engineer, perform analysis / modeling of wood, steel, and lattice structures.
o As a Transmission Line Engineer, you will be involved with consulting on select projects where your expertise and guidance is requested.
o As a Transmission Line Engineer, provide technical assistance to the Welty Project Management Team as requested.
- Responsibilities :
o Perform site visits when necessary.
o Interface with client's engineering groups and project management team to provide regular and timely updates.
o Consult on internal projects when requested by the PM, Portfolio Manager, or Executive Vice President.
o Adherence to Welty Core Values, OPTIC (Openness, Passion, Teamwork, Integrity, Customer Centricity).
o Any need for meetings should be determined by the appropriate Project Engineering Lead and Executive Vice President.
o Share knowledge and train oncoming Transmission Line Engineers.
o Establish trust and healthy rapport with client and contract engineer firms.
o Collaborate with Management Team to foster a productive and encouraging environment.
o Timesheet entries and expenses to be appropriately applied to corresponding projects and should be submitted weekly.
o Minimum
Bachelor's degree in Civil or Electrical Engineering at an ABET accredited university
5 years of experience as a Transmission Line Engineer
EIT Certification with the intention to pursue PE license
o Preferred
PE License
o 15-20% travel (project specific)
