Job Purpose:
As a Licensed Industrial Electrician under the direction of the VP of Business Operations, you will be responsible for installing, repairing and maintaining electrical systems in industrial settings. In this role, you will be expected to troubleshoot and diagnose electrical problems, as well as read and interpret blueprints and schematics. Additionally, you will be responsible for performing and ensuring that all electrical work is done in compliance with relevant codes and regulations.
Job Responsibilities:
- Installs, maintains, and repairs electrical systems and equipment in industrial settings
- Performs preventative maintenance on electrical systems and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation
- Troubleshoots electrical problems and diagnoses issues with electrical systems and equipment
- Reads and interprets electrical schematics, blueprints, and diagrams to install and maintain electrical systems and equipment
- Installs and maintains electrical control systems for industrial machinery and equipment
- Troubleshoots, repairs, and installs PLCs and related electronic hardware including transformers, motors, brakes, panels, VFDs, encoders, and related circuits
- Ensures compliance with electrical codes, standards, and regulations
- Collaborates with other tradespeople, such as engineers, mechanics, and technicians, to complete projects and repairs
- Provides training and guidance to other junior electricians and service techs
- Keeps accurate records of electrical work performed and maintains inventory of electrical equipment and supplies
- Proficient at bending rigid conduit in accordance with applicable codes and standards
- Performs new installations or retrofit work from basic wiring to complex installations, and upgrades on new or existing equipment
- Must be willing to travel for installation work with no restrictions.
Job Requirements:
- Associates degree or equivalent work experience
- 5 years of experience with electrical systems, wiring, and equipment
- Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations related to electrical work
- Completion of an apprenticeship program or equivalent training and experience
- Licensing and certification as an electrician (Journey level 01 license preferred)
- Experience working in industrial settings such as factories, plants, or warehouses
- Knowledge of PLC programming and control systems is a plus
- Must be able to work autonomously without direct oversight when necessary
- Has or can acquire a US Passport with no travel restrictions
