Overview of the Position:
The Business Intelligence Analyst is responsible for the creation and maintenance of various BI reports, presentations, data models and analytical tools to provide analytical data and reporting to support various functional areas within Wencor's business. The primary focus is to interpret and analyze data that the business generates and provide insights and reporting to support informed decisions.
This position requires partnering with people across the company to support the continued growth and success of the enterprise working within a robust and cohesive team. This person has a passion for data visualization and has already acquired a high level of technical expertise. To be successful, the Business Intelligence Analyst will need to demonstrate both business acumen and technological insight to execute our global data strategy. The position works closely with business users to design, develop, test, and implement visualizations (reports, dashboards, interactive analytics) that go beyond requirements and deliver real business value. In addition to project work, this position will also provide support for the existing environment.

Data Analysis:
Performing in-depth analysis of large datasets to extract meaningful insights, including identifying trends, correlations, and anomalies.
Requirements gathering:
Understanding business needs and documenting specific requirements for projects or system improvements.
Reporting and visualization:
Creating clear and concise reports with data visualizations to effectively communicate findings to stakeholders.
Stakeholder management:
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather feedback, align reporting needs, and ensure successful delivery of data visualization.
Predictive modeling:
Utilizing statistical techniques to forecast future trends and potential outcomes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Serve as a visualization expert in PowerBI and Infor Birst using data visualization best practices to guide team and business members in creating sustainable and scalable solutions.
- Lead and participate in discovery and requirement sessions to document business knowledge with the ability to translate into development features, stories, and tasks.
- Ability to design and develop multiple visualizations in parallel keeping stakeholders informed and delivering efforts on time.
- Understanding of how to design data sets to accommodate the needs of different visualizations.
- Utilize experience to propose and recommend new visualizations and analytics to drive business insight and data analysis.
- Develop trusting relationships with the internal and external team members while keeping a positive and collaborative mindset.
- Provide support to existing dashboards in parallel with project work.
Other Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- 3 years' experience as a Visualization Engineer or BI (Business Intelligence) Report/dashboard designer on large scale data warehouse and/or analytics initiatives utilizing enterprise class visualization tools (PowerBI, Tableau, Qlik, Infor Birst).
- 2 years of experience designing, developing, and implementing visualizations in PowerBI.
- 1 years' experience with visualizations utilizing Cloud-based platforms and data sources.
- Strong SQL (Structured Query Language) knowledge to view and understand data from common data base systems and applications (SQL Server, Infor ERP).
- Good understanding of data warehouse and data lake solutions such as Microsoft Fabric.
- Demonstrated ability to remain effective and productive in a fast-paced and changing environment.
- Superior analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with agile style project management techniques.
- Ability to work independently or in a group setting.
- Excellent verbal and oral communication skills with both technical and non-technical colleagues from geographically distributed teams on all organizational levels.
Education / Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, statistics, or related field.
MBA or master's degree in technology related field preferred.
