Wendel is currently seeking a Site/Civil Engineer to operate out of our Williamsville, NY office. In this capacity, you will collaborate with our site development services group to effectively oversee and guide all technical aspects of site improvement projects across local, state government, private, K-12, Higher education, and transit sectors. The ideal candidate will be able to successfully execute projects through to completion utilizing all available resources.
We are seeking a candidate who possesses a thorough understanding of site plan design who is proficient in utility design, grading, drainage, stormwater management, hydraulic calculations, NYSDEC, MS4 stormwater regulations, comprehensive plans, zoning regulations and is familiar with the land entitlement process including State Environmental Quality Review (SEQR).
Responsibilities:
- Perform and lead technical site discipline assignments such as research, report creation, design, and specification/plan preparation to guarantee the most effective and economical completion of assigned projects.
- Prepare contract documents for bidding and construction.
- Assist in business development, including client engagement.
- Assist in coordinating and preparing proposal efforts to secure new work.
- Represent the firm during meetings and conferences with regulatory agencies and personnel from other organizations.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering is required.
- 6-14 years of experience.
- PE license is a plus.
- High proficiency in Word, Excel, and AutoCAD Civil 3D; self-motivated with excellent communication skills and the ability to work proficiently in a team setting.
- The ability to execute multiple deliveries simultaneously.
- Excellent technical writing abilities.
- Exceptional time management.

Salary range: $85,000 – $120,000
Wendel is committed to providing fair, competitive, and market-informed compensation. Salary offered will be determined based the successful candidates’ relevant education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities. The salary offered will also take into consideration regional adjustment factors.
