What matters to us:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Experience in housekeeping preferred and must demonstrate good sanitary habits.
- Ability to understand and follow written and/or oral directions and instructions.
- Must be safety conscious.
- Ability to drive facility vehicles including possession of valid driver’s license and insurable driving record.
Essential Functions:
- Maintain current knowledge of safety, sanitation, and infection control procedures and follow campus guidelines by providing a clean, safe, odor free and sanitary environment.
- Perform dusting sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and other cleaning duties in all campus buildings.
- Maintain current knowledge of campus and department policies and procedures.
- Measure and utilize cleaning chemicals appropriately.
- Ability to follow infection control policies and procedures with every cleaning task.
- Understand proper usage of equipment needed to perform tasks and to clean and maintain equipment to assure proper working order.
- Clean carpets and/or strips and waxes floors when necessary.
- Document daily checklist of performed duties.
Additional Functions:
1. Willing and able to adhere to flexible work schedule including weekends, holiday, etc.
2. Moves into another area within the department and performs skills needed to complete tasks, as needed.
3. Cleans and sanitizes housekeeping equipment on a daily basis.
4. Washes windows, sills, heater, walls, doors, and light fixtures.
5. Removes and reports any broken objects or equipment to the Maintenance Supervisor for processing of a work order to maintenance.
6. Assists in fire, tornado, earthquake and disaster procedures.
7. Transports waste to designated areas.
8. Performs all other duties as assigned by supervisor.
