Job Title: Site Support Specialist
Job Type: Full-Time, M-F, day shifts, overtime available
Job Summary:
A hybrid position that supports all primary functions of the Robins site, with a focus of parts department support, and dust mitigation in the sales and production areas. This position blends that of a traditional shipping and receiving position with that of a utility equipment operators’ position.
Wendling Quarries, Inc. (WQI) is a third-generation family owned and operated business that produces crushed stone, sand and gravel for individuals and businesses in eastern Iowa and western Illinois.

Job Duties:
- Parts department shipping and receiving:
- Receive incoming deliveries, replenish shelves, pull orders, and sort for delivery personnel.
- Site maintenance:
- Monitor fugitive dust and mitigate with water truck.
- Maintain, fill, and operate the water truck onsite to control dust during operating hours.
- During winter season, operate machines to remove snow.
- Work safely with adherence to Wendling Quarries safety policy
Job Requirements:
- Understanding of basic mechanics and working knowledge of large equipment
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Valid driver’s License with acceptable driving record
- Basic computer skills
- Good communication skills
Hours: Monday - Friday. On average works 50 hour weeks depending on the season - may require OT hours outside of normal business hours.
