Title: Benefits Supervisor

Reports to: Director Human Resources
Work Type: Hybrid – 3 days in office
Salary Range: $85,000 - $95,000/yr based on education and experience
About the Company: Aksan United Fortune Enterprises is a growing, privately owned Wendys franchisee with 60 Wendys locations operating in 4 states: Colorado, Wyoming, Oregon, and Washington state. The Support Center office is located in Arvada, Colorado.
Essential Functions:
- Design, implement, and monitor employe benefits programs including health insurance, dental, vision, retirement plans, life insurance, and disability coverage.
- Oversee open enrollment processes, provide clear communication to employees regarding benefit options and changes, and facilitates accurate benefit selections.
- Prepare monthly new hire, benefit eligible, and termination reports to run audits for the HRIS, ICHRA plan, COBRA, and Telehealth ensuring all new hires and newly eligible employees are offered benefits.
- Stay updated on relevant federal, state, and local leave laws and regulations (e.g., ACA, HIPAA, ERISA) to ensure benefit plans are compliant.
- Manage the leave and worker’s compensation administration and communication with the claims associates and employees on injury and leave claims.
- Respond to employee inquiries about benefits, resolve issues related to claims or coverage, and provide guidance on benefit utilization.
- Analyze benefit plan costs, identify areas for cost optimization, and make recommendations to management.
- Conduct salary and wage analysis to meet industry standards.
- Back up Payroll Supervisor to run Payroll as needed.
- Collaborate with Payroll Supervisor to assist with benefit deductions and/or payroll tasks as needed.
- Review Payroll reports for employees who have not worked in over 60 days in order to terminate them from the HRIS and pay out PTO, if applicable.
- Assist Director of HR with creating performance review templates in performance management system.
- Participates in all staff meetings and attends other meetings as directed.
- Tracks, prioritizes, and finishes duties and projects as required and assigned in an efficient and timely manner.
- Returns all emails and voice mails within 24 hours.
- Deals with interruptions and successfully manages multiple tasks.
- Maintains highest level of confidentiality discretion, and integrity.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time hybrid position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Three (3) days in office during the week.
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Human Resources or related field, and/or equivalent experience.
- 1-3 years of Payroll experience.
- 3 years of Benefits and Leave Management experience.
- 3 years of experience using Microsoft Office Suite; intermediate skills in Excel.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- 5 years of Human Resources Generalist experience.
- 5 years of experience using Microsoft Office Suite; advance skills in Excel.
- PHR or SPHR Certification by HRCI and/or SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP).
