Stocking/Assembly Associate

This position is for long term, full time & permanent with great potential of advancement within a company that is established and family owned for 70 years. Candidate will receive shipments into the store, check for shipment accuracy, price each item & place them on the shelf, return any defective merchandise and maintain store inventory. Will assist in unloading parts & equipment shipments along with assisting customers loading & unloading their equipment with a forklift. Must replenish stock on the sales floor & order supplies as needed. Assist in cleaning up the store along with breaking down cardboard and disposing of it at the close of business. Will be responsible for assembling new equipment to restock shelves and showroom floor as needed. Will need to have working knowledge of lawn & garden equipment along with assembly experience in putting equipment together.

Candidate must possess good physical strength, exhibit strong organizational skills, the ability to pay close attention to detail, demonstrate strong interpersonal & customer service skills and exhibit familiarity with the products that we sell. Will need to work well with a team & communicate clearly and effectively. Must have experience in operating a forklift. Will need to have a strong commitment to all health and safety guidelines. Candidate must have the ability to quickly learn & follow established procedures and practices along with being mechanically inclined.

High School diploma or equivalent is required. Certification from a vocational school or completion of apprenticeship is a definite plus.

Work week includes Monday-Friday from 8:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. and on Saturdays 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
