Electrical Mechanical Assembler
The purpose of this position is to provide support performing electrical and mechanical assembly in an electrical department of a manufacturing shop.
We work a 9/80 schedule (9 hours a day Monday through Thursday, and 8 hours every other Friday, with every other Friday off).
Responsibilities include:
- Complying with requirements per drawings and work order documentation
- Performing electrical assembly of products, including but not limited to control panels, power distribution boxes, IO panels, automatic transfer switches (ATS’s), and subassembly of components
- Working with wiring diagrams
- Working with mechanical drawings
- Performing quality checks to ensure accuracy and consistency with documentation
- Abiding by safety regulations
- Working to achieve product consistency
- Maintaining a clean work area and achieving general facility cleanliness goals (FOD prevention)
- Complying with processes and procedures
- Perform other various duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Knowledge in measuring
- Knowledge in use of basic hand tools
- Process-oriented disposition and mentality (a commitment to following procedures, instructions, and rules)
- Experience and/or interest in technical or mechanical disciplines (desired)
- Well spoken and written English language skills
- Organizational skills
- Problem solving skills
- 4-5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
- Technical experience and aptitude
- Able to read, write and perform basic mathematical calculations
- Ability to understand direction and expectations of daily goals
- Able to read and interpret documents such as design drawings, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including overtime and weekends as needed
