What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounting Specialist position at Wequassett Resort & Golf Club?
The Accounting Specialist position is responsible but not limited to:
- Researching inquiries on payments, credit cards, and disputes.
- Assisting in compiling bills and posting payments for Receivables.
- Engaging in obtaining statements and the Payables process.
- Reconciling miscellaneous A/R accounts.
- Assisting in pulling month end reports.
- Maintaining agreements and certificate of insurance, plus conducting data entry.
- Assisting in coordination of administrative functions such as clerical duties and answering phone calls.
- Assisting in specialized projects.
Candidates with previous accounting/finance experience and customer service are preferred. The role requires the ability to be flexible and adapt to changing priorities. The individual must have a high energy level and the ability to be creative and think independently. Excellent organizational, administrative, and problem-solving skills are also required.
Note: this is a seasonal role with a schedule of May through August.
