Werco Manufacturing is seeking a talented Machinist to join our production team. - Set up, operate, and maintain CNC and manual machines (e.g., lathes, mills, grinders) to produce parts according to specifications.
- Read and interpret technical blueprints, CAD/CAM files, and work orders to determine machining requirements.
- Perform precise measurements using tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges to ensure parts meet tight tolerances.
- Adjust machine settings and tooling to optimize performance and quality during production runs.
- Inspect finished components for defects and compliance with quality standards, making adjustments as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot machining issues and improve processes.
- Maintain equipment through routine cleaning and minor repairs to ensure optimal functionality.
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in machining, manufacturing, or a related field is preferred.
- 2 years of experience as a machinist or in a precision manufacturing role.
- Proficiency in operating CNC machines and understanding G-code programming.
- Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Experience with precision measuring tools and quality control processes.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to producing high-quality, defect-free parts.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with Aerospace & Defense manufacturing standards (e.g., AS9100, ITAR compliance).
- Experience with multi-axis CNC machines or advanced machining techniques.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing or continuous improvement practices.
