Job Overview

Werk-Brau manufactures a compleyte line of O.E.M. and replacement attachements for excavators, mini excavators, backhoes, mini and full size loaders and crawler loaders. All over the work Werk-Brau attachements can be found hard at work in the toughest of conditions.

We are looking for a Drafter who will perform routine, entry-level engineering tasks by preparing, updating,and maintaining product drawings, maintaining the filing system of the drawings under the direction of the engineering team with the goal of developing more advanced applied engineering skills.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Provides general, entry-level support to the engineering department.
• Preparing, reviewing, and redrafting alongside the engineering team.
• Following specification and calculations to create various drawings.
• Creates and maintains filing system as assigned.
• Identifies potential areas of product improvement; recommends and assists with development of appropriate solutions.
• Ensures compliance with applicable company and client quality requirements in all assigned programs, functions, products, and areas.
• Identifies and reports problems with specific processes or products to senior engineers.
• Assist the engineers in the development of new methods to improve product quality and process efficiency.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software program.

Education and Experience:

• Two years of experience in a drafting/design role.
• Degree from a technical college is desired.
• Internship in related field highly desired.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.75 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
