Job description
Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome visitors in a professional and friendly manner
- Answer and direct phone calls in a clear, confident voice with a positive attitude
- Document communication in patient files
- Organize and schedule appointments within the software of the company efficiently
- Write and distribute e-mails, correspondence memos, letters, faxes, and photocopying, scanning, and filing.
- Maintain a clean and organized front desk area
- Handle customer inquiries and provide excellent customer service
- Ensuring that all required forms from patients are complete and up to date.
- Documenting in writing (chart notes/Administrative notes) any interaction involving patients via in person, telephone, e-mail, messaging service, fax, letter, etc.
- Collect copays/deductibles/coinsurance as directed
- Process medical records with ROI
- Maintain office space and breakroom (sanitizing surfaces, emptying trash daily)
- Closing procedures to include verifying appointment schedules
- Assist with various other office tasks assigned
- Afternoon shift 1 PM - 6 PM Monday - Thursday
- Confident and engaging
Qualifications:
- Computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Previous experience as a front desk receptionist or in a similar role is preferred
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy in all work performed
- Knowledge of HIPPA requirements and experience in applying them in an office setting.
-Ability to navigate Google documents
- Knowledge of how to use Dropbox
-working knowledge of office equipment (printers, fax machines, scanners)
-Must have high school diploma or higher or equivalent
-Must have 2 years of experience in customer service and/or medical terminology and administrative work.
