Summary: The Human Resources Generalist will support the daily operations of the HR department for the regional distribution center and branch operations. This role involves managing various HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and compliance with labor laws
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or related field, AND
- 3-5 years of related experience in Human Resources.
- Strong knowledge of HR practices, labor laws, and regulations.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Administer procedures, policies, and standards of operation for our Regional Distribution Center (RDC) and Branch Operations. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws.
- Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract qualified candidates. Conduct interviews, coordinate onboarding processes, and ensure new hires are integrated smoothly.
- Provide guidance to managers on performance and employee development.
- Address employee concerns and grievances, mediate conflicts, and foster a positive work environment. Implement employee engagement initiatives to boost morale and productivity.
- Assist with the management of the corporate Safety program and committee.
- Assist with incident investigations, providing recommendations for improvement.
- Manage all safety records to ensure visibility, accessibility and availability. This includes OSHA, DOT, Safety Incident reports, etc.
- Manage the worker’s compensation claims process, act as liaison on recommended loss control practices and requirements.
- Assist employees with benefits-related inquiries and issues.
- Maintain accurate employee records and generate HR reports as required. Analyze HR metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
