Wertz Geotechnical Engineering is a local geotechnical engineering consultant looking to add 2 more field technicians to our growing team. No seasonal layoffs.
Your workplace: A variety of active construction sites.
Your deliverable: Daily site inspection report.
Valued skills: Good communicator, self-motivated, reliable/good attendance, and a willingness to get your boots muddy.
Responsibilities
Operate soil and concrete testing equipment (we will train you), frequent communication with project manager, email daily reports to home office.
Qualifications
At a minimum, the successful candidate must have reliable transportation, ability to be physically active and adhere to construction site safety protocols, and enthusiasm to learn new skills. We will provide all the training you need.
The more experienced candidate would have an educational background in construction technology, capability to perform basic math calculations, nuclear density gage certification, OSHA 10 Construction Safety training, ACI Level 1 Concrete certification.
Technicians will be reimbursed for mileage driving to/from job sites. A technician with a clean driving record would have the option to leave their car at our home office and utilize a fleet vehicle during the workday.
If you are unfamiliar with this job, know that it does not involve performing or managing construction work. You would visit a site to solely to perform soil and concrete testing and communicate the results to your project manager.

Pay: $17.00 - $25.00 per hour
