Adjustments Specialist - Bank Operations - Wheeling, WV

This position is 100% remote within the Bank's footprint. Employee will work full time remote outside of a WesBanco location (may occasionally attend in person meetings, although primary functions of the role are performed remotely).

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.

Associate's degree, (majoring in Business, Finance, or Accounting is preferred), or minimum of 2 years of exceptions process experience required.

Three to six months experience and/or training with Federal Reserve adjustments, fraud adjustments, or similar adjustments required.

Strong knowledge of items processing, including cash letters and adjustments.

SUMMARY:

Works in identifying, reviewing, and processing adjustments on a daily basis and works with the Adjustments Coordinator to complete all adjustments. Reviews Direct Link Merchant exceptions and removes or resolves the issue for processing. Acts as the escalation point for item processing issues.

Processes daily adjustments.

Reviews and responds to inquiries from Banking Centers in regards to the adjustment items.

Processes adjustment transactions against customer accounts, including both consumer and non-consumer accounts.

Reviews in-clearing items for unauthorized checks, fraudulent items, and improper endorsements.

Delivers customer service within bank defined expectations.

Reviews Direct Link Merchant for anything flagged as an exception. Removes the exception or contacts Treasury Management for resolution with customer.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

Banking is a highly regulated industry and you will be expected to acquire and maintain a proficiency in the Bank's policies and procedures, and adhere to all laws, rules and regulations that are applicable to your conduct and the work you will be performing. You will also be expected to complete all assigned compliance training in a timely manner.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Products such as Word, Excel and Outlook.

Knowledge of banking systems preferred.
