Job Description
Summary :
The WesBanco Securities Intern will learn key foundational banking and investment concepts to improve his / her banking, investment, sales and management skills in a rotational program through various retail functional areas. Develops skills by performing a variety of tasks while gaining knowledge and experience needed for placement into a regular position after successful completion of the program. Responsibilities exist in areas such as Branch Sales, Investment Sales, Compliance, Operations and Financial Planning.
This internship will provide the option to sit for SIE (Securities Industry Essentials) exam. Study materials will be provided by Bank for exam prep during internship.

Develops and maintains knowledge of Bank products, Investment products, services, policies and guidelines.
Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of compliance and regulatory issues.
Assists management team with execution of day-to-day operations of assigned business unit.
Completes tasks and assigned projects according to established completion dates.
Acts as a resource for customer, business and operational issues while exercising discretion and sound judgement.
Provides exemplary customer service in person, by email or by telephone, as defined by Bank pledges.
Attends and completes all required training by assigned completion date.
Supports Bank's CRA initiatives through active community involvement.
Other Skills and Requirements :
Banking is a highly regulated industry and you will be expected to acquire and maintain a proficiency in the bank's policies and procedures, and adhere to all laws, rules and regulations that are applicable to your conduct and the work you will be performing. You will also be expected to complete all assigned compliance training in a timely manner.
Proficient in MS Office products.
Ability to operate within strict deadlines and to work independently.
Possess clear, concise and effective written and verbal communication skill to effectively express concepts to Bank employees, customers and prospects.
Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of management.
Ability to independently prioritize tasks.
Must be a self-starter and willing to work as part of a team.
Professional appearance, demeanor, interpersonal relationships, work ethic and attitude.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion regarding bank client information and bank policy and procedure.

Must be available for possible travel within market.
Will be required to make one 3 days trip to our Corporate office in Wheeling, WV for training purposes.
Additional Information :
The wage range for the Securities Intern position is $17.50 - $20.00 per hour. This position is a temporary position for students looking for a summer securities internship.
