Summary
The Information Security Intern’s role is to assist in the Information Security Team in the planning, implementation, and operation of in-house and cloud information security solutions that support WesBanco’s core organizational functions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned with or without prior notice.

Collaborates with Security Operations and Threat Intelligence Analysts to triage alerts through security applications and email, to complete weekly vulnerability analysis, and to build reporting for security technologies.
Works with security technology applications supported by the Security Operations team such as firewalls, IPS (Intrusion Prevention System), Endpoint Security, and Device Management.
Assists IT Management with Security Operations process development and documentation for existing and new technologies.
Assists with Threat Intelligence evaluations using the MITRE ATT&CK (Adversaries, Tactics, Techniques & Common Knowledge) Framework by reviewing internal/external data and reporting to understand who is targeting the Bank and their TTPs (Tactics, Techniques and Procedures). Reports findings to IT Management for review.
Assists with Information Security Governance efforts to mature policies and procedures through review and provides personal perspective while looking for gaps, efficiencies, etc.
Works closely with senior team members to support current projects as needed.

Banking is a highly regulated industry and you will be expected to acquire and maintain a proficiency in the Bank's policies and procedures, and adhere to all laws, rules and regulations that are applicable to your conduct and the work you will be performing. Coursework completed in these fields a plus.
