JOB SUMMARY:
Perform housekeeping activities in a manner that provides a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents, families, visitors, and staff. Housekeepers follow department policies and procedures for cleaning in accordance with infection control guidelines.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Follow cleaning schedule (daily, weekly, monthly) as outlined for department.
- Clean resident rooms: disinfect, dust, mop, clean bathroom, collect trash and replenish paper products.
- Wash windows, walls, Air vents as needed and complete special projects as assigned.
- Clean all public restrooms and common areas.
- Properly maintain all equipment used in performance of duties.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Read and follow schedules, instructions, and labels.
- Perform the physical requirements of the position which include standing, bending and lifting.
- Work well with others; treat residents, co-workers, and staff with care and respect.
- Protect resident confidentiality by not sharing information.
- Adhere to all Wesbury personnel policies as they apply to the workplace.
