Background: Food Manufacturing Manager and Production Manager approval is required before an Associate begins training for this position.
The primary responsibility of a Team Leader is to support the Production Manager. This position is fast-paced, and requires the Associate to perform a variety of duties while remaining in control of the plant. Team Leaders would need to be flexible in scheduling based on the work needs of the facility and must be willing to cover shifts in emergency situations. The Team Leader would be designated as the individual in charge in the absence of the Food Manufacturing Manager and the Production Manager. The Team Leader represents the leadership team by enforcing any new or practiced procedures that have been added to the Commissary SOP’s. The individual is also required to respond to emergency situations in an appropriate manner. A Team Leader is expected to gain knowledge of plant operations through work experience and progress to higher levels of responsibility.
