As an Engineer - Mechanical, you will be responsible for the design and the full-scale management of projects. You will work with manufacturers to build the projects based on required specifications.
Responsibilities
- Participate in project proposal reviews, analyze design input documents, and communicate with relevant departments.
- Complete the overall mechanical structure design, including material selection and surface treatment, independently detail drawings and manage the bill of materials (BOM).
- Utilize standard components in design, including fan motors & other standard parts, customized sheet metal parts, data center cabinet/rack and containments design.
- Write assembly instructions and guide on-site assembly and debugging, ensuring that tooling and fixtures meet standards.
- Independently resolve mechanical issues arising during design, assembly, and manufacturing.
- Prepare relevant documentation required for equipment, such as operating instructions, measurement and validation reports, and prototype & product inspection reports.
- Work closely with manufacturing plants to resolve system issues during the commissioning and upgrading of new equipment.
- Provide necessary training to factory technicians and operators.
- Review design changes, conduct risk assessments, and ensure smooth implementation of changes.
- Supporting Sales, Marketing, Procurements team, suppliers and customers.
- Other assignments as needed.
- Bachelors Degree - Engineering
- 3 years of experience in mechanical design or related fields
- Familiar with using mechanical design software (such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc.) and BOM management
- Strong communication skills and team spirit, with the ability to solve problems independently.
- Good documentation skills and risk management awareness
- Good English Communication Skills (Speaking & Writing)
- Experience in on-site assembly and debugging is preferred
- Ability to travel 0% - 25%
