Information Technology Technician

Job Overview:
The primary function of an information technology specialist is to maintain, process, and troubleshoot Wescom computer systems and operations to ensure company operations are optimized. The position demands high technical proficiency in computer programs such as Microsoft, network administration, and information technology security.
Responsibilities and Duties:
· Add, modify and maintain company directory for system access and controls (onboarding, termination, promotions, etc).
· Manage and maintain the company's IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, and networks.
· Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
· Install, configure, and update software and hardware components.
· Monitor system performance and ensure the security of all IT systems.
· Provide technical support and training to staff.
· Collaborate with other departments to identify and implement IT solutions.
· Maintain documentation of IT processes and procedures.
· Stay updated with the latest technology trends and best practices.
· Control and assign as needed all computer software and programs including third party items such as server access, accounting programs, and door security.
· Source, maintain and properly dispose of information technology assets including telephones, tablets, computers, servers, and other assets.
· Implement and train team on various software systems.
· Monitor security and implement security measures.
· Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls for third-party software and systems, coordinating closely with internal teams.
· Install, configure, and update third-party software and hardware components across the organization. (Note: Internal software development and deployments are managed by our dedicated software development team.)
· Collaborate with the software development team to integrate third-party tools seamlessly with custom in-house solutions.
· Responsibly plan and ensure expectations are met on budget for department.
· Communicate to coworkers, management & clients with cheerfulness and a willingness to help.

Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in information technology OR equivalent technical experience.
· Strong capability in server management, security, and program development and deployment.
· Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Exhibit excellent leadership skills, and the ability to work in a team environment, as well as independently.
· Ability to stay focused and complete tasks in challenging and fast paced environment.
· Applicant must be able to pass a drug screen.
Wage:
$20 per hour. 40-hour minimum work week.
Hours:
Expect 40 hours a week with standard working hours of M-F, 8 AM to 4:30 PM with occasional additional hours.
