WESH 2 and CW18, the NBC and CW affiliates in vibrant Orlando, Florida, located in an exciting area featuring world-class beaches, theme parks, and a fantastic lifestyle. Our state-of-the-art facility supports nine networks, two independent production control rooms, IP-based audio infrastructure, and live event coverage, including the Olympic Ozone show from Universal Studios and annual community events like the OUC Marathon and Share Your Christmas.
We are seeking a dedicated Broadcast Systems Technician to join our Technology Team. Reporting to the IT Manager, you will manage, maintain, and repair cutting-edge broadcast and IT systems in a dynamic, high-paced environment. This role also includes supporting live event setups and coordinating diverse production workflows.

We are seeking a dedicated Broadcast Systems Technician to join our Technology Team. Reporting to the IT Manager, you will manage, maintain, and repair cutting-edge broadcast and IT systems in a dynamic, high-paced environment. Responsibilities
- Execute and improve preventative maintenance programs to maximize reliability.
- Provide technical support across all departments, including News, Creative Services, Sales, and Administration.
- Diagnose and resolve equipment issues via in-house repair, vendor repair, or replacements.
- Maintain and enhance LAN/IT infrastructure, including hardware/software installations.
- Travel as needed to remote locations such as news bureaus, transmitter sites, and skycam locations.
- Collaborate with IT and Engineering teams on operations like news, production, and broadcast workflows.
- Perform troubleshooting, installations, cabling, and comprehensive documentation.
- Expertise in managed network switches and system architecture.
- Certifications in VMWare, Cisco, or Microsoft (preferred).
- Experience supporting a large user base.
- Proficiency in broadcast equipment operation (studio and field).
- Familiarity with networking, servers, workstations, and electronics fundamentals.
- Knowledge of VPNs, Cisco hardware, TCP/IP, NAS, and LAN management.
- Strong interpersonal and customer-service skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Windows desktop and server operating systems.
- Higher education in technology, SBE certifications, or relevant military experience is a plus.
