We are seeking a dedicated Clinical Counselor to join our CST team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing mental health services to individuals of all ages, including children and working with individuals with substance abuse diagnosis. This is a community based position, you will be required to meet face-to-face with clients.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct individual and group counseling sessions
- Utilize psychotherapy techniques to assist clients in managing mental health concerns
- Maintain accurate and confidential medical records
- Provide case management services to ensure comprehensive care for clients
- Implement specialized therapies such as dance therapy for holistic treatment
- Work with pediatric clients to address their unique mental health needs
- Offer PTSD care and support for individuals experiencing trauma
- Heavy travel in the community
- Attend all meetings pertaining to clients
Experience:
- Experience in individual and group counseling
- Knowledge of psychopharmacology for integrated treatment approaches
- Proficiency in medical record keeping and documentation
- Familiarity with psychotherapy techniques and interventions
- Experience working with members who have substance abuse
- Background in mental health with adults is a plus
- Ability to provide specialized care for individuals with autism spectrum disorder
Qualifications:
- Behavioral therapy and patient care experience
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and medical documentation
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and records
- Experience in mental health counseling
- Ability to conduct patient assessments
- Familiarity with Applied Behavior Analysis
- Proficiency in crisis intervention and PTSD care
- Skills in motivational interviewing and psychotherapy
