Home Care Aides with their certified
nursing assistants (CNA) license provide care and personal services either
in-home (client) or on campus (resident).
These services often include companionship, personal care, housekeeping,
and meal support according to a written Plan of Care. Home
Care Aides approach all clients and residents with compassion and a
service commitment to fulfilling their needs as they age in home. Lastly, Home Care Aides play a vital role in
recognizing and reporting physical, mental, emotional, and environmental
changes that might adversely affect the client or resident.
What you’ll do
- Care for residents by monitoring
health status, feeding, bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, assisting
with mobility, and serving meals and snacks.
- Establish and maintain interpersonal
relationships with residents, families, and coworkers.
- Document and record resident
observations and health-related information in electronic systems.
- Communicate resident observations and
health-related information to others member of the care team including coworkers,
supervisors, third-party providers, and families.
- May travel between Wesley campuses to provide care and services
- Learn and apply Company, Federal,
State, and local rules, regulations, and policies.
What you’ll need
- Active Nursing Assistant certification in
Washington State
- Washington State Food Worker Card within 14 days
of hire
- CPR and First Aid certification within 30 days
of hire
- Ability to understand and communicate in the
English language
