Position Summary
The Renovations Technician I is responsible for carrying out a wide range of renovation tasks within the organization. This role involves assisting in renovation projects and repairs and ensuring that work is completed to high standards of quality and safety. The Renovations Technician I will perform other duties as required .
Duties
Essential Duties and Functions
- Perform and assist on various renovation tasks, including carpentry, drywall installation, painting, flooring, and plumbing. Handle repairs as required .
- Provide necessary updates to the Director of Renovations or Renovations Technician III regarding project progress, issues encountered , and completion status.
- Maintain records of work performed, materials used, and communicates any changes made during the renovation process.
- Ensures work performed complies with local building codes, regulations, and meets WEL community standards.
- Ensures materials, tools, and equipment are used as designed. Ensure that all resources are used efficiently, and that waste is minimized.
- Follow safety protocols and practices on renovation sites.
Qualifications include:
- Minimum 1-3 years' experience in renovations team or construction crew. Preferably in a health care setting.
- Knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
- Knowledge of SDS and other OSHA regulations.
- Ability to read working drawings.
- Proficie nt in at least one renovation technique, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and fire protection.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- OSHA 10-hour certification.
- Ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken word and sentences, and the ability to communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand.
