What are the responsibilities and job description for the Special Education Teacher position at Wesley Family Services/Wesley Schools?
WFS is currently looking for a Special Education Teacher for our Wesley School Education Program to plan, organize and implement an appropriate instructional program in an elementary or secondary learning environment that guides and encourages students to develop to their full academic potential. To work in conjunction with behavioral health staff to provide a safe, therapeutic environment that meets the needs of all students.
Locations available:
Whitehall, PA or Upper St. Clair, PA
This position follows an academic school year calendar (10 months with summers off however paid throughout the summer); Optional Extended School Year program in July; Monday-Friday schedule; Weekends and Holidays Off

Plan, prepare and deliver instructional materials and engaging lesson plans that facilitate active learning
Develop lesson plans in alignment with standards and established curriculum materials
Deliver curriculum based, local, and state assessments to inform instructional design
Use relevant technology to support learning and differentiate instruction.
Work collaboratively with behavioral health staff to manage student behavior and implement School Wide Positive Behavior Interventions & Supports
Maintain accurate and complete records of students' progress and development
