Position Summary
WFS is currently looking for a Maintenance Associate. Under limited supervision of the Supervisor – Maintenance performs maintenance duties with some latitude for independent judgment, decision-making and action. Performs a wide range of diverse duties related to maintenance, repair, landscaping, construction, carpentry, cleaning, and general labor duties pertaining to agency-wide facilities and property.
This position will be primarily working in the Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) Residential Program, houses. A majority of which are across Westmoreland County. However, this position is not limited to the IDD Houses.
Responsibilities and Duties (full description available at https://wfspa.org )
- Work in a safe manner.
- General maintenance and repair.
- Meet responsibilities under corporate policies and procedures.
- Remodels, renovates, and performs other construction-related tasks for agency-wide facilities.
- Maintains and landscapes agency grounds.
- Moves, relocates, lifts and transports supplies, equipment, furniture, and other objects.
- Operates maintenance related equipment and utilizes wide variety of tools according to required and established safety standards.
Qualifications and Skills
Education: High School Diploma/GED/Technical School Diploma
Experience: Two years experience as a general laborer
Licenses, Certifications & Clearances:
· Act 33/34 Clearances
· Act 151 Clearances
· FBI Clearance
· Valid State of PA Class 1 Drivers License
