About the Ministry Position
The Families and Kids Coordinator at Wesley Park Church is responsible for cultivating a spiritual curiosity for kids and supporting families in living Jesus-centered lives. They will work closely with the Lead Pastor and staff in developing a culture of hospitality and invitation for families and volunteers. They will succeed in this role by being adaptive, implementing innovative approaches, and ensuring a safe environment for all involved.
Key Responsibilities
- Creating weekly spiritual growth opportunities for kids which include Sundays and some evenings
- Developing monthly family oriented programming
- Recruiting and training volunteers to assist in caring for children
- Implementing Safe Sanctuary policy and regularly reviewing ministry practices to ensure ultimate compliance and safety for children and vulnerable populations
- Other duties as needed to support the mission and vision of Wesley Park

Requirements
- Effective written and verbal communication.
- Must possess a high school diploma, some postsecondary education is preferred.
- Must successfully pass rigorous background and reference checks.
- A working knowledge of the United Methodist Church is required but not membership in an United Methodist Church.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $21.43 - $22.71 per hour
Expected hours: 8 – 12 per week
