Duties

- Schedule and manage daily activities, ensuring they are accessible and enjoyable for all participants.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff to promote upcoming events and gather feedback.
- Collaborate with nursing staff to integrate therapeutic activities into residents' care plans.
- Plan and coordinate special events, outings, and celebrations that foster community engagement.
- Maintain accurate records of participation and assess the effectiveness of activities in meeting residents' needs.
- Provide support to residents during activities, encouraging participation while respecting individual preferences.
- Stay informed about best practices in recreational therapy and dementia care to continually enhance programming.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a nursing home or memory care setting is preferred.
