What are the responsibilities and job description for the Temporary Overhire – Costume Stitcher/Draper position at Wesleyan University?
The Temporary Overhire – Costume Stitcher/Draper position will support the Costume Shop at Wesleyan with costume construction and alteration work for the mainstage production.
Responsibilities include:
- Hand or machine sewing,
- Fabric finishing,
- Distressing
- Final alterations
- Other duties as needed.
All materials and supplies will be provided.
This is an on-campus position working up to 30hrs per week.
Remote work may be available and is only considered for residents of MA, VT, NH, ME, CT, RI, or NY.
Minimum Qualifications:
3 years of professional stitching experience.
Experience working on costumes for theater or dance productions.
Preferred Qualifications:
5 years of experience working on theatrical costume construction.
Experience working on costumes for productions.
