Wesleyan University’s Department of Molecular Biology and Biochemistry invites applications for a full-time Visiting Professor in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry beginning September 1, 2025. The initial appointment is for one year with the potential for renewal for a second year. Successful candidates will hold a Ph.D in molecular biology, biochemistry, or a related STEM field. Primary job responsibilities include teaching introductory biology lecture, laboratory courses, as well as development of a first-year seminar course or an elective course in the candidate’s area of expertise. The teaching load is the equivalent of 5 courses for the academic year to be taught in-person on Wesleyan’s campus.

Supplemental materials an applicant could choose to submit include a teaching statement, documentation of teaching experience (such as course syllabi and student evaluations), and a research statement.
