Wesleyan’s Information Technology Services (ITS) is agile, energetic, and collaborative with strong support for professional development and staff creativity. Enterprise Systems, an integral part of ITS, supports the University’s Workday System. The Enterprise team consists of three prongs – Workday HCM, Workday Student and Advancement Systems. The Workday HCM team headed by the Assistant Director, Workday HCM is a team of 3. Wesleyan went live with the implementation of Workday HCM for Academic Affairs, Human Resources, Finance, Payroll, and ITS in July 2024. Workday post-implementation has been successful, and we are currently transitioning to the support and enhancement phase and related challenges.
Reporting to the Assistant Director, Workday HCM and Finance, this position is primarily responsible for supporting Wesleyan’s HR and integrated systems with primary focus in Recruiting, Talent, Core HR and Benefits functional areas.
The Analyst is responsible for configuring and troubleshooting Workday HCM, Recruiting, Talent and Benefits areas. This includes working with internal clients to develop functional and technical requirements for needed functionality. The Analyst is also responsible for implementing the changes whether it is developing the applications or making the enhancements.
Responsibilities Include
Remote work is only considered for residents of MA, VT, NH, ME, CT, RI, or NY.
(Relocation assistance to CT is available for those who qualify).
Minimum Qualifications
Compensation: $74,100-$102,300

Responsibilities Include
- Act as a technical subject matter expert in HR, Benefits and Payroll office configuration, integrations, security, and reporting.
- Configure and maintain the Workday HCM system, ensuring optimal functionality and alignment with HR processes. Gather requirements, understand functional business processes, advise functional office staff on best practices, and research solutions to problems.
- Develop, support, and maintain integrations with HCM related vendors and products that connect with Workday.
- Collaborate and maintain contact with campus constituency including HR/Benefits staff, IT colleagues, and outside consultants.
- Conduct regular system audits and data integrity checks to maintain accurate employee records.
- Assist in the integration of Workday with other systems, ensure seamless data flow between platforms.
- Design, build, and maintain reports and dashboards within Workday. Take an active role in the Workday release cycle, staying abreast of changes in Workday and advising functional offices of areas on the continuous improvement of business processes and adoption of new features.
- Troubleshoot and resolve Workday-related issues, providing timely support to end-users.
- Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree plus two years of post-production support experience with at least two of the following Workday HCM areas: Core HCM, Talent Management, Compensation, Recruiting and Benefits or an equivalent combination of education training and experience.
- Hands-on experience configuring business processes, condition rules, notifications, alerts in one or more functional areas.
- Experience developing advanced reports, Dashboards, EIBs and basic Workday security.
- Experience configuring and troubleshooting Workday Core Connectors or Cloud Connect integrations.
- Experience handling a bi-annual release in a HCM functional area
- Effective communication skills with the ability to both understand functional business needs and explain technical possibilities and difficulties.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
- Workday Certification in core HCM or Benefits
- Experience with SnapLogic and Workday Studio
- Experience with Workday Extend
- Previous Higher Education Experience
