The Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) Sales Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth and achieving referral goals for WesleyLife's Home and Community-Based Services. This role focuses on leading a sales team, achieving census, promoting services that prioritize the health and well-being of older adults in home and community settings, and fostering relationships with healthcare providers and community organizations to expand WesleyLife’s reach.
Working closely with HCBS Account Executives and collaborating with operational, clinical, and Community for Health Living (CHL) sales leaders, this manager position ensures a seamless customer experience across the organization's full network of services. By mentoring the sales team and optimizing processes, the HCBS Sales Manager ensures a high-performance culture and attainment of referral and business development goals.
Essential Job Responsibilities include:
- Develop and execute sales strategies tailored to the defined WAH market, emphasizing the benefits of WesleyLife’s home health, palliative, hospice, and in-home care offerings with a focus on driving revenue and expanding referral opportunities for our home and community-based services.
- Develop and successfully implement referral generation, sales processes and tools and systems to effectively market and sell WAH offerings effectively.
- Lead, train, and work with dynamic performance goals for the WAH sales team, ensuring the team is equipped with the tools, resources, and knowledge to drive referrals and meet revenue targets.
- Coach and guide the WAH sales team to achieve goals, tackle sales challenges, and ensure adherence to sales protocols.
- Regularly visit key community partners, healthcare providers, and local teams to monitor the success of sales strategies, gain feedback, and refine approaches as necessary; this includes driving the implementation of sales plans for Key Accounts.
- Promote a collaborative sales environment by sharing best practices, facilitating brainstorming sessions, and ensuring consistent use of sales tools and resources across the WAH team.
Your success will be measured based on your ability to:
- Achieve or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual referral goals for WAH.
- Build and maintain a strong, sustainable pipeline of referral opportunities from healthcare providers and community organizations.
- Establish and maintain a high-performance, customer-centric sales team within the WAH division, leading the team to meet or exceed goals.
- Demonstrate clear, measurable improvement in sales performance and referral volume through effective leadership and coaching.
- Ensure high levels of satisfaction from external healthcare partners and clients, evidenced by feedback, surveys, and referral volume.
- Foster lasting relationships with healthcare professionals, families, and community organizations, positioning WesleyLife as the preferred provider for at home services.
- Provide accurate and timely reporting on referral sources, sales trends, and team performance.
- Share insights into market trends and customer needs that guide the evolution of sales and marketing strategies for WAH.
As an ideal candidate for this position, you possess the following:
- Excellent communication and people-centered skills;
- At least 7 years of prior experience in home and community based services;
- A bachelor’s degree in marketing, sales, business or a related field. (Extensive successful experience in HCBS with demonstrated successful results will be considered in lieu of the degree);
- A successful record of achieving or exceeding sales outcomes;
- The ability to act with integrity at all times, demonstrating individual success but also collaboration to ensure the success of the team;
- Creative and strategic thinking skills with the ability to propose new ideas and influence team members to explore new approaches:
