Wespath, recognized as a 2017-2024 Chicagos Best and Brightest Companies to Work For and a 2018-2024 National Best and Brightest Companies to Work For, has an opportunity for a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) that plays a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products through the development and execution of comprehensive test plans and automation scripts. This position requires a strong understanding of software development principles, as well as expertise in testing methodologies and tools.
More specifically, as an SDET you will :
- Develop and maintain test automation framework that contains tests for functional, integration, performance, and security testing.
- Execute automated test cases to verify software functionality and performance.
- Ensure frameworks support maintainability, reusability, and adaptability to evolving project requirements.
- Develop and maintain different testing stages into CI / CD pipelines.
- Integrate testing strategies seamlessly into the software development lifecycle.
- Identify gaps in test coverage and develop quality test code to fill such gaps.
- Participate in code reviews and identify opportunities to improve earlier in the process.
- Identify and analyze the root cause of complex bugs in your code as well as others code.
- Analyze and report on test results, identify defects, and document issues accurately and efficiently.
- Design and execute performance and load tests to evaluate software scalability and reliability under various conditions.
- Collaborate effectively with developers, QA engineers, and Product Owners to ensure alignment on quality goals and priorities based on product requirements.
