JOB SUMMARY
The Adventure (Water Team) Boat Captain oversees the operation of a watercraft, ensuring safety of passengers and crew while navigating the waterways. The Boat Captain requires a combination of navigational skills, technical knowledge, leadership abilities, and a strong commitment to safety.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Licensed Boat Captain (including wake boats and other vessels)
- Experienced Jet-Ski operator
- Experienced Water Safety Personnel
- Safety deckhand and equipment handler
- Instructor/Water Safety guide for water activities serving adults, youths, and children
- Skilled instructor in various water sports such as, but not limited to or confined to the following: wakeboarding, SUP, paddling, foiling, etc. for both adults and kids
- Lead water activities for children and provide water safety in the process
- Provide white glove professional service while maintaining a natural and comfortable environment
- Assemble, prep, maintain and administer use of various water equipment
- Prep, assemble and install equipment accordingly
- Perform daily, weekly, monthly equipment maintenance
- Maintain integrity and organization of equipment, vessels, and vehicles
- Responsible for on-going maintenance projects such as upkeeping gear and assembling equipment
- Prep, clean, assemble and break down all gear pre and post seasons
- Diligently fill out daily logs utilizing Microsoft Word and Excel spreadsheets
- Follow team SOP's and EAP's and contribute to continuous efforts in generating improved standards of operations
- Versatile and adaptable in utilizing various skill sets to provide a safe and enjoyable experience
- Flexible with travel dates and schedule

QUALIFICATIONS
- Lifeguarding and/or ocean safety rescue certified with minimum of 5 years experience
- CPR & First Aid certified
- Boaters License
- Thrill Craft Certifications
- Boat Captain License
- EMT certification preferred
- Responsible for maintaining up to date certifications and training certifications
- Attends continuing education for water safety training and/or CPR and first aid
PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORKING CONDITIONS
- Bending, stooping, reaching, kneeling, squatting
- Working in cramped spaces
- Pushing, pulling, lifting up to 50 lbs. and objects weighing in excess of 50 lbs. with assistance
- Working outdoors with or without wet, dusty or windy weather conditions
- Able to drive a side by side "Utility" vehicle (UTV)
- Able to drive a full-size work truck with trailer
- Periodic travel to other locations may be required
