Job Summary

The Security Operations Supervisor will oversee and manage the Residential Security Team (RST). This role involves leading the RST and ensuring the safety and security of all persons on the Ranch while maintaining high standards of service and protocol. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in security management, leadership skills and the ability to effectively handle complex security operations with discretion and professionalism for a private estate. The Security Operations Supervisor role will help develop and implement policies and procedures to maintain security standards. The Supervisor will directly manage the RSA Team Leaders and coordinate daily security operations, ensuring the effective execution of security protocols, emergency responses, and personnel performance.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Team Supervision and Leadership

  • Lead, supervise, and mentor a team of security professionals, including Team Leaders
  • Ensure that security staff are effectively trained, motivated, and aligned with the properties security goals and policies

Security Operations Management

  • Oversee daily security operations, including patrols, monitoring surveillance systems, access control, and visitor management
  • Ensure that security procedures are consistently followed, including emergency response protocols
  • Collaborate with management to address security needs and develop plans for special events or high-profile events and visits

Reporting and Coordination

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all security-related matters
  • Maintain seamless communication between Team Leaders and upper management, providing reports on security incidents, team performance, and any required improvements
  • Prepare reports for LSS Management as requested
  • Ensure policies are adhered to and document any violations

Incident Management

  • Take charge of managing and responding to security incidents, ensuring swift and appropriate action is taken
  • Investigate security breaches, report findings, and propose corrective actions

Training and Development

  • Organize and conduct regular security training sessions, focusing on improving staff knowledge and preparedness for various security situations, including emergency evacuation procedures, conflict resolution, and technology use
  • Develop and deliver ongoing training programs for security staff, covering a range of topics from emergency response to customer service and confidentiality
  • Ensure all security personnel are equipped with the necessary knowledge, skills, and tools to perform their roles effectively

Strategic Planning

  • Collaborate with the Head of Security Operations and Residential Security Manager in the development and implementation of security strategies, ensuring the Ranch's security protocols remain effective, efficient, and up-to-date

Shift Management

  • Schedule and oversee the Residential Security Team's schedule, ensuring optimal coverage during all shifts
  • Maintain clear and accurate records of RSA attendance, performance, and incidents
  • Conduct random checks at security posts

Client and Visitor Interaction

  • Maintain high standards of customer service are maintained by the security team while interacting with the Family, guests, visitors
  • Exhibit professionalism and discretion in all situations
  • Provide property tours and familiarization for visiting security staff, as well as other relevant personnel as needed

Job Skills & Qualifications

Required:

  • Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in a security management role, preferably in a high-end residential, corporate, or private estate setting
  • Strong knowledge of security systems, including CCTV, alarm monitoring, and access control
  • Experience in security reporting and emergency response planning
  • Knowledge of emergency procedures, safety protocols, and legal regulations related to security operations
  • High level of discretion and ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Strong knowledge of security protocols and procedures
  • Solid understanding of budgeting and statistical data analysis
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Working knowledge of MS Office and Google Suite
  • Possess a valid and current driver's license.
  • Current CPR, First Aid, and AED certification for all ages

Education Requirements

  • Highschool diploma or equivalent

Physical Demands and Work Conditions

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Ability to patrol the Ranch grounds, inspect security posts, and handle physical security equipment
  • Must be able to stand, walk, and perform security duties for extended periods
  • Ability to drive a Utility vehicle
  • Ability to drive a company vehicle
