Overview We are seeking an AIML Technical Lead to oversee AI / ML algorithms, GenAI research and development, and technical consulting within a federal agency environment. The successful candidate will lead prototype development, model performance assessments, risk management, and AI-driven business value demonstrations across various divisions. This role requires deep expertise in AWS AI / ML services (AWS SageMaker, AWS Bedrock, Microsoft Copilot), cloud computing, model deployment, continuous monitoring, and AI governance compliance. The AIML Technical Lead will play a pivotal role in enhancing AI / ML capabilities, ensuring secure and optimized deployment, and driving innovation in AI-driven solutions. Key Responsibilities Lead all aspects of AI / ML algorithm development, deployment, and continuous monitoring within the agency. Provide technical consultancy, research, and prototype development for AI / ML initiatives. Drive GenAI R&D, including benchmark testing, model explainability analysis, and risk management assessments. Support pilot AI / ML projects and ensure effective integration with the agency’s enterprise systems. Develop and optimize AI / ML model performance in a secure AWS environment. Conduct model risk assessments, bias detection, and model governance evaluations to ensure compliance. Deploy and manage GenAI services, ensuring alignment with enterprise cloud infrastructure and security policies. Implement AI / ML model monitoring frameworks and continuous model performance tracking. Develop AI / ML best practices for cloud-based deployment, containerization, and GPU configuration / tuning. Provide technical documentation and training to enhance AI / ML expertise within the organization. Engage stakeholders to demonstrate AI / ML business value and impact on agency operations. Required Qualifications 8 years of experience in AI / ML implementation, cloud computing, and model deployment. Expertise in AWS AI / ML tools, including AWS SageMaker, AWS Bedrock, and Microsoft Copilot. Hands-on experience with cloud computing, performance optimization, and containerized solution deployment. Strong background in Airflow ecosystem engineering, Docker, and modular solution deployment. Experience in GPU configuration and tuning for AI / ML model acceleration. Expertise in model deployment and continuous monitoring of AI / ML solutions. Deep knowledge of FedRAMP-Authorized AWS services, including : AWS Elastic Container Service (ECS), Elastic Container Registry (ECR), Relational Database Service (RDS / Postgres), Elastic Map Reduce (EMR), AWS Cloud Formation, AWS Service Catalog, ACES CICD Service. AWS Application Load Balancer, AWS Network Load Balancer, AWS Cloud Map (Service Discovery). Experience with open-source AI / ML software, including : Airflow-WebUI, Scheduler, Workers, Redis (for Airflow internal communications). Streamlit-App for data manipulation and visualization. Knowledge of AI model risk management, model governance, and explainability analysis. Preferred Qualifications Experience working with the SEC or other federal regulatory agencies. Familiarity with AI governance, risk management frameworks (NIST AI RMF, Executive Order 13960, FedRAMP AI security policies). Hands-on experience with MLflow for model tracking, AI security best practices, and AI-driven process automation. Understanding of Zero Trust AI Security, data privacy, and regulatory compliance for AI / ML solutions. Required Education / Certifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred but not required.
