- Planning and implementing an instructional program that meets the individual needs, interests and abilities of students, consistent with the District's approved curriculum and teaching methodology.
- Guiding the learning process toward the achievement of curriculum goals, establishing clear objectives for all lessons, units and projects, and maintaining classroom lesson plans.
- Instructing students through various methods including lecture, demonstration, discussions, and practical activities, while adapting teaching methods and materials to meet students' varying needs.
- Creating a purposeful learning environment appropriate to the maturity and interest of students.
- Assessing student accomplishments formally and informally, providing progress reports, and developing and administering testing to ascertain student progress.
- Participating in the Building Study Team to diagnose specific learning needs of students and prescribing special programming.
- Communicating and collaborating with colleagues, students, and parents / guardians regularly.
- Upholding and enforcing school rules and maintaining classroom order and discipline.
- Maintaining accurate records as required by law and district policy.
- Reporting to the principal and performing other duties as assigned.
- Establishes and maintains cooperative relationships with others.
- Abides by the Code of Ethics for the Teaching Profession.
- Attends faculty meetings and participates in professional growth opportunities.
- Maintains good working habits including punctuality.
- Implements the beliefs and objectives of the District's strategic plan.
- Must have proper certification for the position as required by the State of Idaho.

- Must be able to communicate proficiently in English.
- Ability to read and understand work-related materials.

- Sufficient clarity of speech and hearing to communicate effectively.

- Ability to lift or move objects that weigh up to 25 lbs.
- Must have a valid Idaho Driver's license and transportation for job-related activities.
