Responsibilities and Duties:
- Demonstrate an understanding of the curriculum, subject content and the developmental needs of students by providing relevant learning experiences
- Implement daily lesson plans that engage and motivate students
- Design learning activities to demonstrate the application of mathematics to everyday existence and problem-solving
- Integrate Biblical principles with curriculum, instruction, relationships, discipline and the entire school community
- Develop and maintain a classroom environment conducive to effective learning activities
- Use various tools to assess the growth and achievement of students on a regular basis and provide progress reports as required
- Establish and maintain open lines of communication with students and their parents concerning both the academic and behavioral progress of all assigned students
- Attend staff meetings and participate in school-wide events and activities
- Invest in professional growth and development
- Committed Christian, aligned with the Academy’s Mission and Statement of Faith, actively attending a local church
- Bachelor's Degree
- Commitment to a Christian Philosophy of Education
- Possesses the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, parents, staff and other outside agencies or local school districts
- Current RI Mathematics Teacher Certification
- Middle School Endorsement
- Elementary Teacher Certification
- ACSI Certification
- Prior classroom teaching experience
- College credits in biblical studies
- Students are experiencing academic growth evidenced through daily classroom work and progress monitoring
- The teacher and parents are collaborating and working well together on behalf of each student
- Responsibilities for this role are being met at a high level as demonstrated through the teacher development process
Salary : $35,000 - $50,000
