GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Residential Coordinator oversees and supports the House Management Team 24/7 at assigned locations, in the provision of care and support services for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, with the aim to maximize the potential of people supported with activities of daily living. Must possess a strong foundation of experience in providing leadership and supervision to teams, as well as a resilient belief that people with IDD can achieve outcomes, have value, and contribute to their community. All decisions and actions will be consistent with the agency's mission statement and performed with a person-centered service focus.
- Leadership & Coaching: Create an environment orientated to trust, open communication, creative thinking & cohesive team effort. Facilitate problem solving and collaboration. Support new team members working through introductory period; ensure that they have the necessary knowledge to effectively participate on the team while developing new skills and abilities. Contribute to staff appraisals and supervision process.
- Team Management: Support the day to day organization within the home environment, including serving in an on-call capacity. Ensure interviews, hiring practices and training coordination is timely and follows agency protocols. Assure that employee training, performance reviews and bi-annual reviews are timely, accurate and achieve agency expectations with formalized goals. Organize & facilitate regular team, nursing, pre-psych, in-service and staff meetings. Familiarize the team with individuals' needs and ensure the team addresses all relevant areas of support within their individual sphere of employment. Help keep the team focused and on track.
- Operational Management: Examine organizational data (i.e. Bi-weekly time sheets, Incident Reports, Individual Charting/Plans of Care, Household Maintenance, and Quality Assurance). Assist team with individual budget responsibilities. Facilitate positive working relationships and support staff to develop positive working relationships with individuals, team members and families. Ensure maintenance of house environment is of a high standard (general repairs, dcor, OSHA compliance).

EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE & QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, preferred.
- A minimum of 3 to 5 years' supervisory experience supporting people with IDD and staff in a healthcare or human services setting.
- A minimum of 2 to 3 years' experience working as a Direct Support Professional.
- Knowledge of the RI State Regulatory framework of service provision.
- Working knowledge of implementing and safeguarding policies and procedures.
- Honesty, reliability and trustworthiness.
