Responsibilities & Qualifications
- Assist Data Owners, Data Stewards, business partners, technical staff, and other stakeholders with the Collibra data catalog, business glossaries, data definitions, and lineage.
- Embed and operationalize data governance policies, procedures, and standards across the enterprise.
- Collaborate with legal, compliance, risk management, records management, information security, and other areas to understand requirements and ensure proper data security, privacy, access, and retention across the data lifecycle.
- Track the progress of enterprise-wide data governance initiatives with metrics and summarize results with dashboards.
Preferred Experience and Skills
- 5 years of experience in data governance and areas such as metadata management, data lineage, reference data, data security, and master data management.
- Deep experience with Data Governance platforms and tools (Collibra strongly preferred).
- A background implementing data governance programs and embedding/operationalizing data governance for efficient data management.
- Experience with insurance data (especially property & casualty) strongly preferred.
- A proven ability to communicate data governance concepts effectively to both business and technical stakeholders.
- Ability to manage large complex projects or processes independently.
Preferred Education and Training
- Bachelor's degree in information management, information systems, data science, risk management & insurance, or similar.
